Happy Halloween 2012.......Brayden with his gory pumpkin and Ken working on his. We are so lucky we have a beautiful warm sunny day. We all have our homes, lights, heat and enough to eat. I feel so sorry for the people in the East who are just happy to be alive after this last storm, call "SANDY". Some day as my great-grandchildren read this they will probably learn of this in their history classes. Super storm outline ; Connecticut, roads are flooded, trees and power lines toppled, 594,000 without power; Delaware many coastal communities flooded 45,000 without power. Illinois high wind warning, lakeside flood warnings. Kentucky a winter storm warning of foot of snow .. Maine 60 mph wind gusts shut down the port of Portland, knock out power to 25,000. Maryland Ocean City swamped, 2 ft of snow in the west; power outages to 145,000. Massachusetts many coastal communities evacuated power outage 400,000. Michigan waves reach 20 ft on the Great Lakes, cargo shipping stopped 150,000 without power. New Hampshire a power outages 210,000. New Jersey storm hit Atlantic City 2.3 million no power. New York 2 million lost power after huge storm surge, A Queens fire burned 80 homes. The Stock Market closed two days first time since blizzard in 1888. The shutdown of mass transit crippled a city where more than 8.3 million bus, subway and local rail trips are taken each day. It will take months and billions of dollars to rebuild everything.......and we are 6 days until the election of a new President!!!! Hope everyone has a Happy Halloween!
