I HAVE A TECHNICAL OVERLOAD!

THIS WAS COMFORT WHEN I GREW UP......WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO MY LIFE?

I TURN ON THE DISH WASHER.....THE WASH MACHINE.....AND MERTLE...MY AUTOMATIC FLOOR SWEEPER.....AND GO TAKE A NAP!  I CAN TELL GOOGLE TO PLAY MUSIC FOR ME, TELL ME A JOKE OR ASK IT IF IT IS GOING TO RAIN......THEN THERE IS THE TV.....MY CELL PHONE.....AND I PAD.....AND THEY ALL TALK TO EACH OTHER BEHIND MY BACK.....I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TEXT....ON PURPOSE....IF SOMEONE WANTS TO TALK TO ME.....THEY CAN USE THE GOOD-'OLE TELEPHONE OR WRITE ME A LETTER......IF THEY KNOW HOW TO BUY A STAMP.  THE KIDS BRING UP A NEW CAR NOW AND THEN......ARE THEY KIDDING?...MY 16 YEAR OLD CAMRAY DOES NOT HAVE ALL THOSE FANCY CHIPS IN IT......LIKE TURN ON THE MAP TO SEE WHERE YOU ARE GOING......COME ON.....IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE YOUR GOING WHEN YOU LEAVE THE HOUSE......THEN DON'T GO!  I CAN TALK TO MY TV AND PROGRAM IT TO RECORD...A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO A KID KNOCKED AND WANTED TO KNOW IF I WOULD LIKE TO GET A "DOOR BELL" THAT SHOWED ME WHO WAS AT THE FRONT DOOR.....ABSOLUTELY NOT......I PAID A NEIGHBOR TWENTY-FIVE TO DRILL A HOLE IN MY DOOR TO LOOK THROUGH....BEFORE I OPEN IT....WHICH I POINTED OUT TO HIM.

.  THIS PAYING YOUR BILLS ON LINE IS CRAZY ....AS IS TAKING A PICTURE OF YOUR CHECK AND BINGO......YOU "HOPE".....IT WAS DEPOSITED IN YOUR ACCOUNT.  I KNOW THEY HATE  ME AT THE GROCERY STORE BECAUSE I USUALLY  PAY FOR MY FOOD BY CHECK!!!!  I LOVE IT AND THE LOOK ON ALL THE PEOPLE LINED UP BEHIND ME WAITING WHILE I TAKE MY TIME......BUT...I DO KNOW HOW TO BLOG, READ MY EMAIL  AND FACE BOOK.....THERE IS HOPE MAYBE?

AROUND THE WORLD CON'T.....

As I reviewed my thoughts on Ecuador......I felt I had so many more memories of that wonderful trip.

Ann and I tried to exchange some money as soon as we got there......we always did that......only to find they had just changed to using our dollar....and boy did it go far.  You could ride anywhere in town for a dollar....go in for a coke and sandwitch and get change back from a dollar.  It made shopping wonderful......
There were four of us and so one day we rented a driver to take us to some little villages around Quito.....My favorite was CAYAMBEE......known as the city at the center of the earth.  The Equator ran through it so.....more pictures. In all the small villages we passed through there were dozens of green houses growing roses......and they were a nickel a piece. The US gets many of their roses from there......and jack up the prices.....
The night we flew home.....we lucked out and got First Class.....and it was full of Jack Hannah and his photo crew going home with us.....They had been shooting in the Galapagos.....That was kinda fun.

AROUND THE WORLD...CON'T.

WATCHED A NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC PROGRAM ON THE GALAPAGOS LAST NIGHT AND BROUGHT BACK SO MANY FUN MEMORIES OF MY TRIP TO ECUADOR AND THE ISLANDS OF THE GALAPAGOS........

LOVED ECUADOR AND THE GENTLE PEOPLE.....THEIR BRIGHT CLOTHES, FUN MUSIC AND INTERESTING FOODS.....WELL I NEVER ATE THE LITTLE GUINEA PIG THAT IS THEIR SPECIALTY.....AND PETS.  BUT, I LOVED STANDING ON THE EQUATOR AND SHAKING HANDS WITH ANN ON THE OTHER SIDE....OR STANDING WITH ONE FOOT IN ONCE HEMISPHERE AND THE OTHER FOOT IN ANOTHER!  VISITED THE WONDERFUL ANDIES MTS A FEW DAYS AND FLEW HOME PAST MANY VOLCANOS.  

THEN WE FLEW TO THE GALAPOGAS TO FINISH OUR TRIP.....FIVE DAYS VISITING A NEW ISLAND EACH DAY....VISITING DARWIN'S MUSEUM AND THE OLDEST TURTLE AT THAT TIME ....DARWIN VISITED THE ISLANDS IN 1875 WHEN HE WAS 26 AND SPENT 6 WEEKS STUDYING THE BIRDS AND ANIMALS THERE.  HE STEPPED OVER BLUE FOOTED BOOBIES AND AGUANIAS......AS I DID.  ENJOYED THE SEALS AND SEA LIONS WHICH WERE VERY FRIENDLY.... WE ADDRESSED A COUPLE OF POST CARDS AND LEFT ON ONE ISLAND FOR THE NEXT GROUP THAT PASSED BY....THEY EACH TOOK A COUPLE AND WHEN THEY GOT HOME MAILED THEM BACK TO US.....AND WE TOOK A COUPLE TO MAIL BACK WHEN WE GOT HOME LEFT BY HE PREVIOUS GROUP OF TOURIST......THE FIRST MAIL SERVICE WHEN SHIPS PASSED BY.  THESE ISLANDS WERE FORMED BY VOLCANOS MANY YEARS AGO......A WONDERFUL TRIP.

TGIF......

IF ONLY EVERYONE COULD TAKE A FEW MOMENTS TO DO THIS ......HOW NICE THE WORLD WOULD BE......

HAD A BUSY WEEK SO IT HAS JUST FLOWN BY.....MONDAY COFFEE WITH PATTY, TUESDAY GOT GAS AND SHOPPED, WEDNESDAY A DERMATOLOGIST APPOINTMENT AND BRIDGE, THURSDAY MEXICAN TRAIN GROUP.....SOOOO TODAY HAD TO GET READY FOR LES AND KRISTI FOR THE WEEKEND.  PAM CAME OVER LAST NIGHT AND WE HAD A GOOD VISIT....HADN'T SEEN HER FOR TWO WEEKS.  TUESDAY NIGHT BRAYDEN AND LIBBY CAME OVER AND MADE ME A NEW FLOWER BED.....WHICH I LOVE....... AND HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET DONE SINCE MAY.  I AM FEELING PRETTY GOOD.  PATTY'S NEIGHBOR TOLD HER TO TELL ME TO DRINK A CAN OF BEER EVERYDAY AND THAT WOULD HELP ME PASS MY KIDNEY STONE....WISH I LIKED BEER BETTER.....I TRY TO IMAGINE IT IS A MARGARETA!!!!!  SHE IS IN THE MEDICAL FIELD AT HIC SO WE WILL SEE!

I HAVE TO KEEP REMEMBERING....

I am determined to keep recording my past for the future generations to enjoy my great adventures.....and inspire them to never stop living it all.....I must tell you about my fun adventures of being a "speaker" on Cunard Cruise line.....just wanted to see if I could.....met a lady on a cruise who got me a connection.....I had an agent who set it all up for me......I was accepted and assigned a cruise.....Sherrie would not let me go alone so she went with me on my first one.....Alex was a baby and Darren tended him???? Every day he went to KMART in Vernal and bought him a clean outfit instead of washing????? Sher and I got the cruise free....BUT....... by the time you pay your agent fee, your airline ticket, the Boarding fee etc.......how big a deal was it?  Anyway it was a fun experience and I choose to speak under the umbrella of "LIFE ENRICHMENT"...I had just finished getting my Master's in NLP and used my new leaned knowledge to pass on to others....I also did a second speaking tour with Conard and ANN went with me......Then i decided it was easier just paying for your Cruise and enjoying the vacation....But it is fun to say......'YES, I DID IT!"

Why don't I have more pictures of Libby and Brayden?......They are so front and center in my life.....but seem to  be doing all their good work in the shadows......They are very active in their church ward....stake officers.....school and work and taking care of grandma......Had a fun dinner and game night last night and they are coming back tomorrow to plant flowers for me.....It is not that I doubt the love of any ......well maybe some.....of my grandkids.....but whoever has time to visit gram?  Not so many of the nine......Thanks BRAYDEN and Libby for being there for me.....Alex ....Tiff...and Ken have been a great help in my old age.  Can't believe we are moving into summer so fast.....almost the 4th of July.   Busy week with bridge, dominos and a dermatologist appointment this week....and Friday and Saturday....Leslie and Kristi.....Trying to get my old self going....darn vertigo!

INTERESTING MEMORY.....

After I became single and was doing my travel thing......I got involved in a group in the city called "International Travelers"  .....we were asked to host out- of- town visitors to SLC for an evening.  The foreigners loved to be invited into your home and see how we live....our customs, food etc.  The first group I had was four ladies and their interpreter from Morocco????  My travel partner Ann Moseley helped me at my house.....They were four of the greatest ladies I had ever met.....one was a lawyer, one a TV announcer.....and I am not sure what the other two did....of course we did not speak the same language....but somehow that did not matter....we ended up on my patio .....them teaching us how to belly dance with a tape they had brought.  We were to present them with a little gift...so I gave them each a "wind chime".....with a note that said....."The same wind that blows over my house blows over yours sending my love and good wishes".....The favorite gift I got was....one of them gave me a little metal shoe.....with the Cinderella story of;.....To get the other one I had to visit her home>>>>how great was that.....?

Another fun group was four News Paper people from RUSSIA......Rob and Pam helped me host them......they spoke English....I gave them the same gift....Just some of the fun experiences I have had that have helped make me me.......\

Then I wonder why I keep turning down cold potatoe salad and pork and beans in the churches patio parties every year.......????? These people would never understand.......
