START TODAY.....

I have no regrets about the GOOD OLD DAYS!
NO.....I wasn't perfect....but I sure had a good time....I had a Best Friend.....a lot of boy friends, loved to dance, had wonderful and understanding parents and great siblings.  I had a plan for my life....to be a stewardess.....so in college I majored in BOYS and minored in dance..... as I waited to turn 21....the age to become a Stewaredess.....My greatest accomplishment......  I have had...... is my three beautiful daughters who never got into trouble with drugs, sex etc........they finished school, and collage and married nice boys and are great mothers and have given me 9 wonderful grandchildren.....who are normal hardworking normal kids.......no drugs....problems with the law and all pretty normal.
NOW.... with cancer hanging over my head there is no waiting for happiness,  happiness can happen right now for all of us......The secret: looking at each day in a whole new way....not as your last...but as an abundance of small miracles.  When you say YES to life's blessings ...life brings you even more.
Yes, I guess 87 1/2.....is kinda old?

NO MATTER WHAT DAY CAME.....

Well .....the actual day of "NO MATTER WHAT HAS COME".....After two days of mamograms, a day of biopsys and then two days of waiting for the  news....good or bad...... the big day of what they found in the biopsy came............ALL three daughters...YEA.....came with me to face the facts....the news was not what I wanted to hear but "IT IS WHAT IT IS"......I have breast cancer.  Was I surprised?  Probably not, as my grandma Goff, my mother, my sister Jo and just a few months ago my daughter  Karrie has gone through it....just surprised me it waited so long.  It has been so wonderful to have so much love and support from my family, friends and neighbors.......The doctors, and nurses have all been great at St. Marks.....my surgery is the 5th of September and I am still praying it will just be a lumpectomy....or what ever.....then a pill.  It is an in and out procedure and Ken will be with me for 5 days after..... as Sher will be on a cruise to Alaska......Ken and a couple of dogs are staying with me while the family is gone.....
It was so nice having Sher come and she brought her NACHOS machine as she knew I would need some COMFORT FOOD.....And all my neighbors love it!!  She took me to talk to the surgen as Kar and Pam were busy.....Good children are the greatest blessing you can have and each of them will experience that sometime in their lives......The big plus in all this was Karrie cared enough to come and support me and she was such a help with what questions to ask and what to expect..... Am I nervous about what is ahead.......well yes.

NO MATTER WHAT......

God bless my "NO MATTER WHAT" friends and family and neighbors........I have so many people who care about me and are there for me......NO MATTER WHAT!
Tomorrow I go in for my biopsy on my breast and lymph gland.....My grandparents on Mom's side, my mother, my sister and my 51 year old daughter have all had breast cancer.....and I pray I am not next.....but we will know soon!....They say "Positive thoughts.....bring Positive actions"....So I am trying to stay postive for whatever comes......and that I can handle it and fight my way through.......
"NO MATTER WHAT".

PICTURES SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS..

They say one picture is worth a thousand words.......and I think this picture should be able to help you figure out better than anyone can try and explain to you.....what RACISM is!!  Yes.....people come in all kinds of colors.......BUT.....they all have the same heart and all have red blood.......What is wrong with people?  GOD made us all the same.....but different and that is OK.
I have been doing my Spring house cleaning .......all summer.  Between my kids and my sweet sister and niece who cleaned my cupboards,....refridgerator.....freezer and pantry....I decided to tackle my walk in closet.  The Japanese method of decluttering sounded like a good idea to me.....You take and hold every object that you own, and if  it doesn't bring you joy....you throw it away?......So far, I've thrown out all the vegtables, my bra, the electric bill, the scales, a mirror and my treadmill.... Maybe.......I will save the rest of the house till next Spring.....

BIRTHDAY WEEK AT MY HOUSE.....

I think my kids and grandkids......already know what a crazy grandmother they have!
BUT
through the years.....we have a lot of fun together.
Birthday week started the 15th with Andrea.....who told Sherrie she no longer has a grandma....she is mad along with her mother.......Next day Brayden turns 24 on his great grand-mothers birthday...Happy birthday Mom....who would be 107.........Bray's wife was busy with a seminar so he and I went  to dinner and watched a movie.....what a fun evening...love that kid!
Yesterday.....the 18th was Pam's big 62 birthday.  She ran up to their cabin to fish and enjoy her birthday and today the 19th....... is Karrie's husband...... Richard Cook.     Then we have to remember we have another birthday to add to our August ones......Tucker on the 5th.
April and August are busy and fun birthday months for us.
