These ladies SUZANNE////GAY......HILDA.....Are my neighbors and friends....we take care of each other///share food and ideas and any help when ever we can....Hilda, Suzanne and I are single and we all love Gay's husband Ivan who is not in very good health.....we have one other neighbor who was out of town this weekend Hoahn...VIETAMESE....who keeps us well feed.  I was not happy about leaving my last condo with all it's stairs....but it seems.....'God puts you where you need to be....not where you want to be." They know Libby and enjoyed the baby shower...and Patty has been my friend since 50 years ago and when I was married.....we see each about once a week.

 

MY GREAT BIRTHDAY....89 on 19th

My first great-grandchild Aaron with a birthday card he made me.....who would have thought I'd be enjoying great-grand kids....number 5 in a few weeks on its way...a little girl named....Olivia......finally making Sherrie a grandma.  It was a great birthday.  Early on the wonderful neighbors up the street brought 3 bags of dirt and multch and cleaned up my front flower beds......they are 80 and 83!  Darren brought me a plant when he picked up Libbby to go shopping......the Cooks brought.....wait for it.....89 BALLONS which are all over my ceiling.....what a fun surprise......some cute pants and shoes....The Panniers gave me a subscription to PEOPLE magazine and birthday cake and Sher gave me a book an a cute shirt...Bray and Lib gave me a plant an Bray built me a fire pit.  It was a fun and busy day.  I hope I can be worthy of all thier love and kindness.....

 

SHER AND KAR TURN 53 ON 12th

A baby shower for Libby and a birthday celebration for the girls.  This is  me and my four girls....The fourth one is Heidi who practically lived at my house through her jr and senior years at Olympus......they wore each others clothes and had the same friends....Heidi and Sher were cheer leaders their senior year....Kar involved in Seminary.....and you can see why I always had a house full of cute boys hanging around.  The twins went to PUERTO VIARTA for their birthdays and had a good time....hard to believe we are all getting so old.,,,,Karrie put the shower together....a Luaha and had it catered and Pam kindly offered her house bcause of Scotty's cancer and chemo and low amuitiy not wanted at Karrie's.  So fun having the girls work together like that....and it was so fun.  HAPPY BIRTHAY SHERRIE AND KARRIE!

 

A WEEK BEHIND....

Been a very busy two weeks,,,,lots of birthdays.

On the 11th....Libby turned 25. ....Her missionary companion Seraha from Washington DC......  was here for it....BRAY took her to dinner at the Tulip festible.....and they were busy with A  friend's wedding.We planned a family dinner here for Libby 25...the twins 53....me 89 and Ken 23 on Friday but the restrauant screwed up...we caneled the order and went to the Zizzler in stead.....IT IS .....WHAT IT IS.

 

KNNEDY'S BIRTHDAY

My sweet Ken is in Atlanta  for his 23rd birthday....today.  His wish was to swim with the sharks in the acquariam there......Now I have had some strange birthday wishes in my past 89 years.....but I never wanted to swim with the sharks!...He has always been a shark person so I am glad he got his wish.  Happy Birthday Ken!!!

 

SMART ASS

I know I am old and dumb.....but I am not stupid.....!  I feel left out of the circle of what is going on in the family....they talk together....but not with me any more.  I saw a sign in the store the other day which made a few tears fall.  "There is no way to be a perfect MOTHER....but a million ways to be a good one"....I hate to settle for ...."good"...but I feel lucky to even be on the good list?  I have done...been....saw...experienced.....so much in my almost 89 years and consider myself  very lucky....and thank God for still being mentally alert and able to take care of myself......and drive!  I know I cannot keep up with everyone any more.....but I will keep trying.

TWINS.....HOW LUCKY.

Monday the 12th....Sherrie and Karrie turned 54.....54 wonderful years of fun and watching them grow into wonderful mothers and grandmas.....Still so much alike and yet so different. They spent a few days in Puerto Viarta together for their birthday,,,,,I had Ken and the two dogs.....Ken is a great help for chores I can't do any more.  This picture just reminded me of all the beautiful things God has given me.
